Opening Night Reception

Friday December 5th

Before transplanting to the Rose City, Dana M. Fairweather spent much of her free time roaming the deserts of California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and Mexico. Desert in December is a collection of photographs that were shot during those expeditions and is a representation of the intense relationship between the harsh, unforgiving landscape of the desert and the organisms that reside there. "I do not consider myself to be an artist. I do not fancy myself to be a photographer. I happened to be in the right place at the right time and was fortunate enough to have a camera in my hands." All photographs you see were shot with a Sony DSLR and using the standard 18-70mm lens. The frames, which were custom made for this show, were hand crafted by Dana's best friend and partner in crime, Matthew R. Davis. Enjoy.

cocktail

We tried to invent a clever acronym for our service industry appreciation night, but nothing cool came to mind, and frankly, S.I.N. Monday just doesn't alliterate very well, so we will just get to the point and say that the Night Light Lounge would like to invite all our fellow Sons and Daughters of the Daily Special to come down to eat and drink a little cheaper with us on Monday nights.

Every Monday night after 7:00, bring your OLCC permit or Food Handlers' card and get a dollar off anything in the house, which should make all those small bills go just a little farther...hell, with the money you save you may just be able to put a dent in your student loan payment.
