Westford Vermont is a beautiful place. It's full of color in the summertime. Everything is lush and saturated. Winter is black and white. I did a lot of drawing in Westford. Almost everything I did was black pencil or pen and ink drawings. At daycare, the teachers thought I may be disturbed. My parents convinced them I just really like black. My Grandmother is a famous landscape painter in Virginia. I was always surrounded by artists.

Here at the Night Light we feel like we have it pretty good. Great place, great customers, really everything a neighborhood bar could ask for. So when we realized it is definitely getting to be patio season, we decided to give a little back to y'all by providing you a stylish beer-maintenance accessory, and to give back to the “world at large” by not keeping the money. Every dime we make beyond the cost of manufacturing our Night Light Tall Boy Koozies (exactly the right size for a colder than cold Oly on the deck) is going to charity. Specifically, Outside In, which reaches out to the community by providing health care services to under-privileged and under-insured Americans, which considering the current political regime is A LOT of Americans. So pick one up. Enjoy your beer as God intended, and feel like a better person for it.

Oddball Studios is the official tattoo shop of the Night Light, not because they're close, but because every artist working there is first and foremost an artist. We are excited to be hosting some of the pieces they create off of the skin. The show begins June 6th, and remains until July 4th.

 Portland Hamburgers give our Sliders their seal of approval.
PattyMelt had the crab cake sliders, Burgermeister the regular sliders. Tasty and satisfying. Dark candlelit atmosphere, friendly and competent server, smoking and non smoking sections. Altogether a perfect burgering experience.

 We have just switched all our power over to support renewable sources of energy in Oregon. By purchasing renewable energy from PGE, we are joining other customers that have helped avoid over 625 million pounds of carbon dioxide since 2002. This is the equivalent of not driving 695 million miles (or taking over 55,000 cars off the road). We take pride in this.
